COMENIUS
Our school is in Škocjan in the south east of Slovenia, around 80 km from the capital – Ljubljana. Slovenia is a country with 2 million people, the capital Ljubljana is the biggest city and it has 350.000 inhabitants. Škocjan has 3,200 inhabitants and is made up of 38 villages and small towns.
There are 321 pupils in the main school and 31 pupils in branch school Bučka and 41 teachers. We also have a kindergarden with 138 children and 18 staff.
The pupils are aged from 6 - 14 years. We do not wear school uniforms. The school day begins at 7.30 am and finishes at 1.30-2.30 pm, followed by a wide range of after-school clubs.
