The Totteridge Academy is a large comprehensive school in a suburb of North London. There are over 800 pupils (boys and girls) aged 11-18 and approximately 70 teaching staff and over 30 support staff. We are a diverse cultural and social community. The school day begins at 8.40 am and finishes at 3.25 pm, except on Fridays when the students finish at 2.40pm. The students have five lessons a day, lasting one hour each, and one literacy-based lesson every day which lasts 20 minutes. There are a range of extra-curricular clubs, including Science & Technology, Football, Rugby, table tennis, etc. (girls and boys), Eco-Club, Cooking club, etc. The students aged 11-16 wear a uniform: black skirt or trousers, black jumper, purple blazer and purple and silver tie.
